YOUR PARISH NEEDS YOU – VOLUNTEER TODAY
Our parish communities thrive when each of us brings our unique gifts to the table. Volunteering is more than lending a hand – it’s a way to live our faith, nourish our spiritual lives, build meaningful connections, enable the ministries of the church to function and make a real difference in the lives of those around us.
Whether it’s helping at Mass, supporting outreach ministries, assisting with events, or sharing a smile at the door, your time and talent matter. Every act of service echoes God’s love and strengthens the bonds of our parish family.
Each of us has a responsibility to share our God-given gifts in their many forms so that our communities continue to grow and flourish as places of worship, faith and service.
Think seriously about how God may be calling you to put your gifts and skills at work to support the life of your parish community.
Following is a prayer to discern what gifts you have been given to share with your parish community:
Heavenly Father, you are the source of all goodness and the giver of every perfect gift. I thank you for creating me and giving me unique talents for your purpose. I stand in awe of the many gifts you have given me, and I want to use them to serve you. I ask for the Holy Spirit to guide my heart and mind, so I may discern my true gifts and see how I can best serve the needs of my parish. Help me to use my time and talents generously to spread your love and strengthen our community. I desire only to do your will, to be a good steward of the gifts you have entrusted to me. Amen.
What talents do you bring to the parish? Do one of the ministries below look like something you might want to be part of?
